We have a staff of up to 10 doctors on a rotating basis, all experts in the Medical Cannabis field, as well as our patient educators that are fully versed in everything-Medical Cannabis. We make it our mission to ensure that our patients get the best possible care, customer service, and post-appointment support. This includes one-on-one education sessions, care from qualified Healthcare practitioners, and full support for all follow-up appointments.

Apollo has a goal to ensure that every single one of our patients leaves our clinic with a full understanding of their new medicine, their new Licensed Producer, and their new medical devices, if applicable. With a full range of educational materials, we are confident that our current and new patients are getting answers to their questions.

Since Cannabis is a medicine, it’s important to remember that there are many different responses from different people, so we make sure to provide customized treatment plans for each and every patient.

Some of the conditions that we have treated with Medical Cannabis include:

Referrals

While we don’t require patients to have a referral to book an appointment at Apollo, we always welcome them. If you would like to be referred by your physician, we’ve attached a referral form here that can be printed out and brought to your doctor. We will send your doctor consult notes so they stay in your circle of care.

New Brunswick Cannabis Laws

On top of the Canadian Cannabis Laws listed in the Cannabis Act, provinces also have their own laws and regulations to help govern the productions, usage, distribution, packaging, and sales of cannabis and cannabis-related products and services within their province.

In New Brunswick, lawmakers set their own provincial laws to define outlines for both the industry and legal consumers.

Consumption and Possession of Cannabis in New Brunswick

In New Brunswick, the minimum age for cannabis purchases and consumption is 19 years old. Anyone 19 or older is allowed to possess up to 30 grams of cannabis if they do not have a medical cannabis prescription.

Cannabis consumption throughout New Brunswick is currently restricted to private residences and homes. Any public spaces such as parks, streets, restaurants, and more are prohibited. Driving under the influence of cannabis is strictly illegal and will result in punishments similar to driving under the influence of alcohol. When driving or transporting cannabis in New Brunswick, it must be sealed in a closed package, within the legal limit amount, and out of reach of the driver and passengers.

Medical Cannabis Laws in New Brunswick

Medical cannabis is governed and regulated by the Federal government, and separate from recreational laws in New Brunswick.

Public possession limits for patients are the lesser of 150 grams or a 30 day supply of their prescription. This does not include the 30 grams they are allowed to have of recreational cannabis. Patients must be prepared to show they are legally allowed to possess more than 30 grams if requested by law enforcement by showing their registration document from a Licensed Producer or certificate from Health Canada.
Medical cannabis can only be purchased through Licensed Producers, licensed by the Federal Government of Canada via Health Canada. Medical cannabis is often less expensive than recreational cannabis, and as a patient, you will be provided with a personalized treatment plan for strain selection and dosing.  Medical cannabis is tax deductible and may also be covered by insurance.

How do I get CBD oil in New Brunswick?

Medical cannabis has two main medical components or cannabinoids, THC and CBD. Each cannabinoid affect the human body differently, for example, THC is psychoactive and is responsible for individuals feeling ‘high’. However, CBD is not psychoactive and has therapeutic properties which are very useful in treating conditions such as insomniachronic pain and migraines.

In New Brunswick, CBD oil can be prescribed by a physician or qualified Healthcare Practitioner. Once you have a prescription, you can purchase your medication directly from your Licensed Producer or LP and get your medication delivered right to your door!
