While we don’t require patients to have a referral to book an appointment at Apollo, we always welcome them. If you would like to be referred by your physician, we’ve attached a referral form here that can be printed out and brought to your doctor. We will send your doctor consult notes so they stay in your circle of care.

Are there medical cannabis regulations in Yukon?

Canada’s Medical Cannabis legislation is Canada-wide and called ‘The Cannabis Act”. The Cannabis Act came into effect on October 17th, 2018. Prior to this date, medical cannabis was regulated by the framework referred to as Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations, also known as the ACMPR.

Apollo is here to help and provides every patient with our award-winning medical cannabis care regardless of your location.

After the video consultation with our HealthCare Practitioner, we will walk you through everything you need to know about being a medical cannabis patient, including how to fill your Medical Cannabis prescription with a Health Canada approved Licensed Producer, and what strains and doses would be best for you, and your needs.

How do I get CBD oil in Yukon

CBD oil is a cannabis extract known as ‘cannabidiol’ or CBD. Although CBD is derived from the cannabis plant, CBD or any CBD products are not psychoactive and are not responsible for the ‘high’ or euphoric effect that is often associated with cannabis use. CBD is medicinally valuable due to its therapeutic properties and is known to treat a variety of conditions such as insomniadepression, and stress to name a few.

In order to get access to CBD oil in Yukon, it is recommended you have a medical cannabis prescription to maintain access to a consistent supply of CBD oil. Although cannabis is recreationally legal in Canada, most Licensed Producers restrict CBD oil to their medical cannabis patients, leaving very little supply for recreational users. Once you have your prescription, you can fill it to receive the CBD oil directly from the Licensed Producer and have the medicine delivered right to your door! Apollo will help you choose a medical cannabis producer best for your needs, the right products, and make sure you are dosing most effectively.

This is due to Yukon’s natural beauty and vast amount of outdoor recreational activities such as skiing, snowboard, and kayaking. Due to the territory’s latitude, individuals can also view the northern lights, or the Aurora Boralis, adding to the territory’s natural beauty and tourism.
