Are there medical cannabis regulations in Nunavut?

The laws created by the government regulating Medical Cannabis are controlled by Bill C-45, also known as The Cannabis Act. Prior to October 17th 2018, medical cannabis was regulated under the ACMPR also called, Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations, which has since been absorbed/replaced by The Cannabis Act. These regulations are Canada wide and do not differ between provinces and/or territories. Once you have obtained a legal prescription you can order your prescription for your medicine online or by phone.

Your Medical Cannabis will be delivered right your door via Canada Post or Purolator, making the process easy, and hassle-free.

How do I get CBD oil in Nunavut?

Medical cannabis has two main medicinal compounds (also known as cannabinoids), THC and CBD. While both cannabinoids have medicinal value, they are very different from one another. The largest difference between the two cannabinoids is that THC is psychoactive and CBD is not. This means that THC is responsible for the ‘high that is very often associated with consuming cannabis. Rather than being psychoactive, CBD has therapeutic qualities and is used to treat a variety of conditions such as AnxietyPTSD, and chronic pain.

In order to gain access to CBD oil in Nunavut, you should be prescribed by a physician or healthcare practitioner. This is due to most Licensed Producers ensuring a consistent supply of CBD oil, for their medical cannabis patients. Once you are prescribed, you can order your CBD oil directly from a Licensed Producer and can get the product delivered right to your door! A medical cannabis expert or patient educator will help you determine the best product to us, and the correct dosing for your needs.
