How can medical cannabis help insomnia and sleep disorders?
In the 9th episode in Apollo’s Medical Cannabis Now education series, Kim Lam MD helps us understand varying sleep disorders and how medical cannabis may help provide patients with better sleep in terms of consistency, length, and initiation. Many people struggle with sleep at some point in their life, whether it is a secondary result of something like anxiety or pain, or a chronic condition such as insomnia or sleep apnea.
One of medical cannabis’s biggest strengths as a medicine is that it can help treat multiple symptoms at once. When treating other medical conditions, a common secondary outcome is an improvement in one’s sleep. This video highlights things such as dosage and strain selection when using medical cannabis, which is also something that is included for our patients in the education portion of any Apollo appointment.
We were pleased to receive all of your questions and worked to answer them throughout the presentation. While we strive to best answer your questions, we do encourage any personal medical advice to be attained during an appointment with one of our physicians as medical cannabis is a personalized medication and we want to ensure the treatment plan is tailored to the patient.
